The landscapes of Tuscany and Umbria are very similar, restful scenery, rolling vineyards, olive groves, hilltop retreats and small walled towns. Rural lifestyle has not changed much over the years. Right on the borders of Tuscany and Umbria we can offer this lovely family owned villa which lies just below an enchanting medieval village, from which there are spectacular views over the surrounding countryside. A fascinating location full of old fashined charm, with spectacular frescoed ceilings, the villa retains its original features, creating an unforgettable backdrop for your special day. The well tended grounds are very attractive and there is a lovely swimming pool set among olive groves.
The perfect location for a romantic wedding, the villa can house around 20 people and a bed and breakfast basis. For larger groups there is alternative accommodation, near the villa or in the local hilltop village, where there is also a selection of bars and restaurants.
Typical Tuscan meals can also be arranged at the villa on request. Your wedding celebration will of course be tailor made to your needs. By taking the entire villa – a 3 night stay is preferred – your wedding will have the flavour of a private house party. This could be a relaxed celebration with music and dancing, or a more elegant affair with string quartet to entertain your friends and family. In cooler months the event can be held in the splendid vaulted cantina wine cellars below the villa.
The choice is yours, but whatever you choose will be a memory to cherish. The private chapel can host both Protestant or Symbolic weddings and a lovely blessing ceremony can be held there or in the villa grounds. For catholic weddings you can be married in the Baroque village church and civil weddings can be celebrated in the typical little village town hall or in the nearby lakeside town, where the splendid town hall boasts fine frescoed wedding halls. The limpid waters and shorelines of Lake Trasimeno, Italy’s 4th largest lake, are a few kms away, with ferries to the small enchanting islands. Entertaining private boat trips and swimming parties with food and entertainment can be arranged on request for you and your guests. There is excellent local train access to Florence,
Rome and Pisa airports and guests without transport can be picked up from the local train station about 20 minutes away by arrangement. Siena, Arezzo and Perugia are all close by.
